Museum Crocoite

This piece was extracted from an offshoot pocket in the floor of the Red River Pocket at the Adelaide mine, around 6 or 7 years ago. The crystals are more red than the pics show and contrast very well against the metallic grey Manganese Oxide coating on the matrix. There is a misting of Gibbsite to the lower portion of the crystals, which I have left on to retain its natural look.
It is big!
