A very sharp Gold crystal from a recent small find in Georgetown Queensland. This specimen is comprised of spinel twinned, complexly modified octahedrons and dodecahedrons with skeletal growth. There is some elongation to the crystals, crisp prism edges and great lustre.
All of these specimens appear to be Supergene Gold and were collected from an area no more than 50cm in diameter and just over a metre deep.
Measures 9 x 7 x 5mm and weighs 0.75 grams.
