Cuprite from Red Dome mine in Queensland. This specimen is a large example of blood red Cuprite crystals in a Cuprite matrix. The main crystal is a large sharp cube with octahedral modifications and has intense colour. There are numerous subordinate crystals throughout the piece displaying both the cubic and modified octocubic habits. These are extremely rare to acquire, especially in this size.
