Raspberry red grossular garnet crystals on a white Rhyolite matrix from Sierra de Cruces in Mexico. This is an older piece, so the color of the crystals are quite vivid… unlike the more recent finds whiere the colour is a more washed out pale pink. The main crystal is very sharp with good lustre and measures approx. 13mm across. There are several smaller Garnet crystals on this piece too, some of which show the characteristic black cores for which this material is known for.
