Here is a very interesting specimen!

It is comprised of heavily weathered Rhyolite,Calcrete, an unidentified clay mineral and of course Gold.  After it was detected, the top of the specimen was hit with a geopic and the “lid” popped off!!! There is also some fine disseminated Gold in the oxidised veinlets!

Measures 140 x 80 x 55mm.  The visible gold in the cavity measures 30mm x 12mm
