Gold Crystals in Matrix

Here we have a beautiful crystallized Gold specimen in a Quartz & Limonite matrix.  This piece is comprised of thick flattened gold crystals along with a number of smaller more euhedral octahedrons and several subordinate crystals scattered around. This is a rare specimen… and is one of only a few specimens recovered from this one off find. I have also attached an xray which highlights the Gold not exposed from the matrix (shown as a solid white colour). The The owner of this mine asked me not to publicly advertise the mine name as it is an active mine site and he has had thefts in the past.
